Reality Star Goes Missing
A lot of everyday people join reality TV shows to launch a career in another industry, such as music or acting. A popular star with over 50,000 social media followers found a career as a DJ, blasting electronic music for the masses.
That’s what the reality star was doing the night they went missing. DJ Maycon Douglas was last seen DJing at a bar on New Year’s Eve. He reportedly went home with a friend after his set but was never seen again.
The popular DJ starred on Season 8 of the Portuguese reality show Secret Story – Casa dos Segredos in 2024. He went on to find success as a DJ with a large social media following. The missing person case came to a sad end after a heartbreaking discovery.
Body Found Washed Up On Beach Shore
DJ Maycon Douglas was last seen on December 31, 2025. His family and friends were desperately looking for him. The DJ’s car was found on January 1, 2026, submerged in the Atlantic Ocean at the North Beach in Nazaré, Portugal. Despite the grisly find, hope remained that the DJ was still alive.
Sadly, those hopes were dashed on January 8 when his body washed up in the same location where his car was previously found. A fisherman reportedly pulled the body from the sea and knew it was the DJ because of his distinctive tattoos.
The U.S. Sun reported that DJ Maycon Douglas’ mother was admitted to the hospital the day before the grim discovery. The reality star’s girlfriend, Raquel Coelho, confirmed that he was gone with a social media post.
“I would give anything to have you back, anything. You appeared in my life unexpectedly, and you don’t know how grateful I am that you did,” she wrote in tribute.
The authorities are still investigating the DJ’s cause of death. They haven’t ruled out foul play yet.
Heartbreaking Last Social Media Post
DJ Maycon Douglas had a huge following on social media platforms Instagram and TikTok. He often shared clips from his DJ gigs. His last post was on December 30, one day before he went missing.

The DJ reflected on 2025 as it came to an end. The majority of his social media content is in Portuguese. Translated to English, the caption said, “2025 was intense. We learned a lot, we lived even more. One of the most meaningful dates for me is New Year’s… why? I don’t know. Maybe that feeling of starting over, even knowing that, deep down, everything is the same.”
“2026 is about vision, discipline, and consistency,” he wrote about the New Year. Sadly, he never had the chance to fulfill that goal. Stay tuned for more details on the cause of death.
