‘The View’ Cohosts Acting Like Divas, ABC Infuriated
Despite facing cancellation rumors last summer, The View continues to draw in millions of viewers every day. Determined to reach a wider audience, the ABC talk show opened its doors to conservative guests. While the show is immediately popular, two of the cohosts are reportedly acting like divas behind the scenes, infuriating the network. Keep reading for more details on the developing situation.
The View Cohosts Acting Like Divas, ABC Infuriated
The View has been airing for nearly twenty years. The format of the show has largely remained the same. The hosts start with a “Hot Topics” debate segment before moving on to celebrity guests. The format works, but two of the hosts are reportedly causing issues behind the scenes.
Joy Behar has been with The View since the beginning. She skipped a few seasons over a contract dispute with ABC but came back stronger than ever. The host, 83, has become close friends with her cohost, Sunny Hostin. As we previously reported, the two made waves at a charity event in New York City hosted by Al Roker’s wife.

A source spilled to The National Enquirer that ABC execs are getting fed up with the diva behavior. “There are plenty more stories like this. This one just happened to blow up,” the insider said.
According to the source, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin have come under fire for being “entitled,” especially compared to other ABC talk show hosts Kelly Ripa, Robin Roberts, and Tamron Hall.

The hosts of The View don’t always agree on politics. But Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar took the same stance on the U.S. capturing former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro without the approval of Congress.
“Maduro is a bad guy. We took him out. So is Kim Jong Un. So is [Vladimir] Putin. We’re going to go into all these countries and just kidnap their leaders?” Joy Behar asked about the incident.

“That’s the issue here. Yes, we can all agree that Maduro was an illegitimate president who did horrible things in that country and was corrupt. The way he was removed from that country matters. We are supposed to be a nation of laws. The way we did it was against international criminal laws,” Sunny Hostin agreed.
However, Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that the U.S. has done the same thing in other countries under different administrations. The three hosts continued to argue over each other until Whoopi Goldberg stepped in. The moderator then had an argument of her own with Sara Haines.
Viewers may not always agree with the political talk on The View, but they’re glad to have the show back after a long holiday hiatus. Tell us in the comments if you’re surprised that Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin are reportedly divas backstage.
