Marjorie Taylor Greene Livid, America Isn’t ‘First’
Marjorie Taylor Greene has been making headlines as she spoke out concerning the current administration and announced her resignation from Congress. Recently, she shared her reaction to a current event during an interview. She also touched on the story in a post on social media, but what did she have to say?
Marjorie Taylor Greene Touched On Something That Made Her Feel ‘Sick And Tired’
Greene is an American politician who is known for serving as the U.S. representative for Georgia’s 14th congressional district. She started this position in 2021, having been elected to Congress in 2020 and reelected in 2022 and 2024.
Greene was known for advocating for President Donald Trump during his first presidency. However, Greene publicly criticized his position on foreign policy during his second presidency, questioning whether he was still putting “America first.” After a dispute on social media with Trump, she announced she was resigning from Congress on January 5, 2026.

Recently, Greene once again spoke against the Trump administration concerning the recent capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro. As previously reported, Maduro and his wife were captured and brought to the United States. Appearing on NBC News’ Meet the Press, she claimed that the operation was part of “the same Washington playbook that we are so sick and tired of [and] that doesn’t serve the American people.”
President Donald Trump Also Spoke About The Operation With A Reporter
During the moment, Greene discussed President Trump’s campaign motto, “Make America Great Again.” Once again, she questioned if the president was really “putting America first.” She later shared, “Our neighborhood is right here in the 50 United States, not in the Southern Hemisphere.”
Speaking with moderator Kristen Welker, Greene shared, “I want to see domestic policy be the priority that helps Americans afford life after four disastrous years of the Biden administration.” This includes focus on jobs, housing, and health care.

As noted by NBC News, this past Saturday, Trump was asked how running Venezuela aligns with the “America First” agenda. He previously shared that the U.S. would “run the country” until a new leadership transition takes place.
Greene Also Spoke About The Operation On Social Media
Speaking with the reporter, Trump shared a desire to surround the United States with “good neighbors.” He added that he wants the country to be surrounded by “stability” and “energy.”
Green also criticized the operation in a recent post on X. During the share, she felt that Trump’s supporters voted to end “military aggression and support of foreign wars” from the government, as well as Americans being forced to pay for it. She shared, “Boy, were we wrong.”
