Jelly Roll Regrets A Lot Of Things From His Past
Jelly Roll has always been open and honest about his past. This is not something that he has tried to hide. Fans respect him for this, as he has completely turned his life around. Jelly Roll used to be in prison. This was because of things he did as a kid. He was involved with drugs and the wrong kind of people. However, he got his life together and is obviously doing much better now. Jelly Roll was even recently granted a pardon. This has allowed him to travel anywhere in the world, which has expanded his tour.
Admits His Shame Over Permanent Addition To Body
Jelly Roll has admitted that he has shame about his tattoos. However, he thinks people often misunderstand this for confidence. He made sure to explain that he never meant it that way.
“It’s the polar opposite. The way shame sometimes shows itself is not always the way we expect it to be. We think shame is somebody in the streets on their knees, with their head down. But shame sometimes is pride. Sometimes shame is just bravado. Behind real bravado, I can normally find shame. I can normally find guilt. I can normally find insecurity. I was the biggest, the loudest, the toughest, the meanest, the growliest, the fattest.”
The country music artist also revealed that he was thinking about getting his facial tattoos removed. However, he has done a lot of work on himself and has lost a lot of weight. So, this would be something else he would do for himself and the new version of him.
It seems as though Jelly Roll does not love his tattoos. In fact, he is thinking about getting them removed after his weight loss journey. He regrets getting the majority of them. Fans understand why. However, he is iconic for his facial tattoos and even has a tattoo studio in his bar in Nashville, Tennessee. He is just learning that he shouldn’t have done it.
