The co-hosts on The View don’t always see eye to eye during the show’s famous discussions. Recently, two of the show’s co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, got into a bit of a debate over recent events concerning a political figure. This also comes out after the figure recently appeared on the talk show.

A Question From Sunny Hostin Led To A Debate On The View

Viewers have seen the co-hosts of The View go into all sorts of discussions since 1997. The current panel is made up of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Naturally, the co-hosts haven’t always agreed on everything. During one recent episode, viewers saw Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar get into a debate over one guest.

The discussion revolved around Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. This was in response to This was in response to a recent CNN interview with Greene. At the time, she called President Donald Trump’s response to Rob Reiner’s recent death “classless.” She also claimed it caused a “major fallout” among his supporters.

During the episode, Sunny Hostin asked her co-hosts, “Would you have guessed this time last year that Marjorie Taylor Greene was the canary in the coal mine?” To this, Goldberg responded, “Only if you believe in miracles.”

Whoopi continued, “To me, that’s a miracle when somebody who goes from all the way over here has an epiphany and says, ‘Yeah, they stopped me from doing what I wanted to do. But, moreover, they’re stopping my constituents, and I don’t like it,’ you know?”

Behar, on the other hand, shared, “You give her too much credit, maybe. I mean, she’s ambitious. Let’s not forget that Santa is bringing the Epstein files this week.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene Had Appeared On The View Around A Month Prior

Behar also suggested that Greene might be interested in running for political office again. Last month, she had previously announced she would resign from Congress in early January.

Joy continued, “Everybody’s weakened in the Republican Party right now, they’re not gonna win, she knows it, she wants to run for something else… I mean, I’m happy to have her on our side now, but…”

Goldberg responded, “I don’t know if she’s on our side. I’m just saying, listen, I don’t have to agree with everything you say, but I need you to be conscientious enough to know when your people. The people who voted you in, are saying to you, ‘We’re suffering. And you’re seeing me as part of your family, who is also suffering.’” She added, “Something woke her up. And I’m happy that it did.”

Behar disagreed, saying, “It’s called getting her reelected is what it’s called.” Goldberg and other co-hosts responded, “She’s not running for anything!” Behar then shared, “Wait and see what she’s gonna do.”

The exchange was notable because Greene had appeared on The View last month. At the time, she thanked the co-hosts for speaking with her “in a very professional and kind way.”
