Trisha Yearwood made rare comments about her husband during a recent appearance on Southern Living’s Biscuits & Jam podcast. The singer released the album The Mirror early this year, her first entirely self-written album.
She opened up on the podcast about how her husband helped her become a better songwriter. “You have to be really vulnerable and open when you write because you have to say the dumb thing. You have to go, ‘Hey, this might work here,’ and it might be the dumbest thing you’ve ever said.”
The “She’s In Love With The Boy” singer added, “He was the one who was saying, ‘Stop saying you’re not a writer. You’re a writer.'”
What She Said About Weight Loss Journey
Trisha Yearwood was featured in a PEOPLE magazine cover story in 2013 after revealing that she’d lost 30 pounds in just four months. “I don’t think you can name one diet I haven’t done,” she said about her lifelong weight issues.
But with a change in diet and exercise, she went from a size 14 to a 10. “I designed my own plan that’s low-fat, low-sugar 90 percent of the time,” she said at the time about her diet. She also “fell in love” with Zumba, a dance fitness program that is still popular.
