‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Sends Serious Message To Fans
Whoopi Goldberg has been on The View for a long time. Viewers often find her grumpy or disinterested in the show. However, she shared her true feelings for fans by showing them rare love during a recent episode. Keep reading to find out more about the surprising display of affection.
Whoopi Goldberg Shares Love For Fans
Whoopi Goldberg joined The View in 1997 as the main moderator after Rosie O’Donnell left. Joy Behar serves as the moderator when Whoopi isn’t there. The actress recently spent two weeks in Italy filming an arc on the country’s longest-running soap opera. Shortly after returning to New York, she became a great-grandma for the second time.

The break from the daytime talk show and huge baby news seemed to have reinvigorated Whoopi Goldberg. She shared love for fans during Tuesday’s episode. When she walked out with her co-hosts, the studio audience erupted in cheers. The prolonged standing ovation tickled The View hosts.
“They seem to like us lately more than they used to,” Joy Behar said. “I’ll take the win. But it also tells you that the people want good stuff,” Whoopi Goldberg added.
“We appreciate that ya’ll keep coming to see us, and you keep watching, and we appreciate you,” she told the studio audience and the viewers at home.
Whoopi Goldberg said that she thinks viewers “don’t mind” if the co-hosts disagree on political topics because they do it “with a little class.”
The View hosts then dived into a Hot Topics discussion about Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett.

The View Hosts ‘Respectfully Disagree’ On Hot Topic
Jasmine Crockett was elected to the House of Representatives in 2022. She was reelected in 2024. However, her district in Texas was eliminated in the redistricting map. She announced a Senate run earlier this week. The news was met with a mixed reaction, even on The View. Alyssa Farah Griffin “respectfully” disagreed with the Senate bid.
“It’s been about 30 years since a Democrat was elected statewide in Texas. Doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t try to run; they absolutely should. That’s a good campaign ad if you’re running to be the queen of the resistance, if you want to be the face of taking on Donald Trump,” she said,
The former Trump staffer added, “If you’re trying to win a red state that he has won every time he’s been on the ballot… you’ve got to talk about not just what you’re against, which is Donald Trump. You have to talk about what you’re for.”
Sunny Hostin “respectfully” agreed and disagreed with her co-host’s opinion. “I do think we’re seeing now, with the elections we’ve witnessed that have been overwhelming victories, [they] were about the people and what they needed to hear that has been lost in the Donald Trump era in general. But what I did like about it is we’re seeing unprecedented numbers, dozens of people leaving politics because they are so disheartened and discouraged at how things aren’t getting done.”
Whoopi Goldberg ended the discussion by advocating for anyone to run for office if they want. “Don’t let anybody tell you, ‘Not them, but them.’ It’s a mix, and anybody can do it. We can all run.”
