The View is must-see TV for many people in the country. The talk show is a mix of news and celebrity guests. The ABC show is scheduled for a long break in the coming weeks. Fans are livid over the unexpected change. Keep reading for all the details on how long the show will be off the air and when it will return.

Ana Navarro Fires Back At Diss Over Talk Show Job

Ana Navarro was an in-demand political strategist and analyst for years before she joined The View as one of its leading conservative voices. She first appeared on the show in 2015 as a contributor before getting promoted to co-host in 2022. Ana Navarro doesn’t join the show as often as some of her co-hosts. She still contributes to cable TV news programs, especially CNN.

During a recent appearance on the nightly news program, Ana Navarro tangled with former Trump staffer Harrison Fields. They got into a heated debate over the U.S. bombing Venezuelan fishing boats under the claim that the boats are smuggling drugs into the country. Ana Navarro called Harrison Fields out for spreading false information.

“Well, your day job is The View, so let’s talk about fabrication,” he retorted. She quickly clapped back, “And you have no day job. You just lost yours,” referencing Harrison Fields’ leaving the Trump administration earlier this year.

The View Takes Unexpected Long Break

The future of The View came into question over the summer when the talk show went on break earlier than usual. Then in October, the program was yanked from YouTube TV amid a disagreement with ABC’s owner, Disney, and Google, which owns YouTube. The talk show is directly in the sights of the Trump administration, putting the fate of the show in jeopardy.

Fans of the ABC talk show will have to find something else to watch for the rest of the month. The View is taking an extended hiatus over the holiday season. The talk show’s upcoming schedule was posted on social media and fans were surprised to find out that the show is off the air for two weeks leading into the new year.

The schedule showed a break in filming from December 18 until January 5. According to The U.S. Sun, the show will film two episodes in the New York City studio on December 18 for the last two episodes of the year, to air on December 18 and 19.

Fans Livid Over Schedule Change

Everyone deserves a holiday break, of course. But fans of The View are livid over the long hiatus until new episodes. The ABC talk show reportedly returns on Monday, January 5. “oh its not back until Jan 5! thats a really long time, ugh,” one fan wrote. Another added, “No shows the week of Christmas- I have tickets for the 18th.”

But the show going on hiatus wasn’t the only disappointment in the schedule. Longtime fans were hoping singer Darlene Love would perform her Christmas classic, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”

Unfortunately, one fan noticed that she wasn’t on the schedule to perform it on The View this year. She recently performed it during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “Darlene is the queen of Christmas, not Mariah Carey,” one fan remarked.

Tell us what you think about The View‘s upcoming extended holiday break.
