For many, churches are safe havens that offer protection and redemption. Sadly, a homeless woman was allegedly repeatedly s*xually assaulted outside of a church in Nashville, Tennessee. She later died from the assault. A man with over a dozen prior charges was arrested for the crime.

Nashville Fire Department Caught Man & Woman Having S*x On Church Steps, Realized It Was Assault

In mid-August, the Nashville Fire Department came upon the scene of what looked like a man and woman having s*x on the steps of a local church. They approached to tell them to stop but found something disturbing. The firefighters quickly realized that the woman was unconscious and the man was forcing himself on her.

When approached, the man allegedly began trying to pull the victim’s pants back up. He was detained until the police arrived. They rushed the woman to the hospital, but she died en route. According to the police, the woman had no ID and they believe she was homeless.

After reviewing the surveillance video, the police determined that the unidentified woman had walked toward the steps, but was unable to keep her balance. Based on the video, the police suspect she was on some kind of substance.

“Mohamed made physical contact with the victim as she went in and out of consciousness as she tried to push him away. He ultimately lifted her off the steps, put her on the ground, and repeatedly sexually assaulted her,” the police statement said. Shockingly, it wasn’t his first offense.

Man Accused Of S*xual Assault Had Over A Dozen Priors

According to Radar Online, the suspect identified as Mohamed Mohamed, 39, was an illegal immigrant from Somalia. He was arrested on four counts of r*pe with bail set at $300,000.

The outlet revealed that the perpetrator had a lengthy rap sheet before the alleged assault. He reportedly had 16 prior charges for “s*xual battery, indecent exposure, trespassing, drug offenses, and more.”

Social media was ablaze in criticism for the judges who let Mohamed Mohamed back on the street after his previous charges.

  • “Why is he free? Are the law against women ????”
  • “Nice Job judges !!!!”
  • “16 previous charges and he was free? Does the us not have jail? A justice system at all?”
  • “And he will be given the chance to do it again.”
  • “Now this calls for a legit deportation !!!”
  • “Firing squad”
  • “Send him to the worst jail or if not deport him inmediately”

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) filed an immigration detainer for Mohamed Mohamed back in August. The detainer gave local authorities the right to hold him for deportation in the event that he made bail. It’s unclear if the alleged r*pist is still in jail in Nashville or has been deported under Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.
