Former View Host Attacked As ‘Fat, ‘Ostentatious Hag’
Meghan McCain was a co-host on The View for four years before leaving in 2021, calling out the show’s “toxic” workplace environment. She was one of the show’s leading conservative voices. She opened up earlier this year about the backlash she faced in her personal life for her political beliefs.
The former talk show host now shares her opinions on the Citizen McCain podcast. Meghan McCain’s name came up on Tucker Carlson’s podcast this week. The former Fox News anchor welcomed Milo Yiannopoulos for a discussion, which included the topic of “closeted gays” in the right-wing media.
Milo Yiannopoulos asked Tucker Carlson if there was “anything gayer than John McCain’s bloodlust.” He proceeded to go on an unhinged rant about the late Senator’s daughter, Meghan McCain.
“I mean, he’s even got the fat friend. It’s his daughter. He even bred the fat best friend. Is there a more ostentatious fat hag in America than Meghan McCain? You know, she hates herself. She’s fat. She’s crazy,” Milo Yiannopoulos said.
Meghan McCain Hits Back Hard
Meghan McCain is used to being attacked for her looks. She brushed off being called a fat hag with a sharp rebuke on Twitter. “I am aware on the most recent episode of Tucker Carlson’s show a subject of conversation with his guest was my weight – particularly how fat I am,” she began the post.

The former View host added, “Yes, I am very fat, I’m almost 9 months pregnant with my third child. I am also very happy.” Meghan McCain announced in June that she was expecting her third child with her husband, Ben Domenech. The couple lives in Washington, D.C.
Meghan McCain called out Tucker Carlson’s constant claim that he’s Christian. “I don’t care how many times Tucker talks about being a Christian, that is not Christian behavior to engage in such a conversation on one of the largest podcasts in the world. This kind of meanness to women and hypocrisy is a classic example of why the right has such a problem with women voters of my generation,” she wrote.
John McCain’s daughter said that she’s been called fat since she was in her 20s. “It is old, lazy, tired. I don’t make my living off of ugliness like that and truly can’t fathom what life is like for anyone who does.”

Fans React To Shocking Feud
Meghan McCain wasn’t always popular with fans of The View. Regardless of that, many people took her side over Tucker Carlson’s in the unexpected feud.

- “But remember if you call him out then he is the victim and that is dividing the right according to folks”
- “I’m not a huge fan of yours but Carlson was out of line and doing something like that was terrible.”

While Tucker Carlson didn’t utter the words “fat” or “hag,” he didn’t speak up to defend Meghan McCain, either. He has yet to respond to her calling him out for the insults.
