‘The View’ Joy Behar Gets Reprimanded After Foot Injury

Injury Causes Longtime Host To Miss The View
Joy Behar has been the host of The View for nearly its entire 29-season run. She was one of the OG hosts but took a break for Seasons 17 and 18. Now that she’s back, she steps in as moderator on Fridays so Whoopi Goldberg can take the day off. But Joy was absent for nearly an entire week earlier this month after suffering a freak injury.
While at her home in Sag Harbor, New York, the talk show host, 83, dropped an iPad on her foot, breaking a bone. When she returned, she couldn’t wait to show her co-hosts and the audience her injured toe.
Joy Behar Gets Reprimanded After Foot Injury
Joy Behar’s foot made another appearance on The View this week, but she didn’t mean to expose it. As the holiday season kicks into full swing, she decorated the living room of her home and wanted to share it. In a surprising holiday olive branch, she welcomed one of her fiercest rivals to appear on the talk show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the photo showed some minor holiday touches, including a small tree and lights on the bookshelf.
But Joy Behar’s co-hosts zeroed in on another feature they spotted in the photo: her foot. In one corner of the photo, painted black toenails are visible. Her co-hosts couldn’t stop laughing at Joy’s foot photo-bombing the Christmas photo. They even had the camera zoom in for a closer look.
Joy Behar confirmed that it was, in fact, her foot. However, she quickly pointed out that it wasn’t her injured foot. But showing her bare foot at all received surprising backlash from her co-hosts. Once it was apparent that the foot was Joy’s, Ana Navarro took her to task. “Don’t you think that after you dropped an iPad and broke your toe maybe you should be wearing slippers or something?”
Sunny Hostin chimed in that Joy’s foot was “all out” in the photo. The longtime host of The View admitted she should wear something to protect her feet, but claimed she doesn’t move that much at home. “I couldn’t do Pilates and you know how disappointed I was,” she joked.
Ana Navarro teased that Joy’s foot making an appearance in the Christmas photo could hurt her WikiFeet ranking. The website compiles photos of celebrities’ feet and rates them. Joy Behar reportedly has the lowest score among the six co-hosts of the daytime talk show. She has a 4.07 out of five.
