Florida Woman Stabbed By 8-Year-Old Grandchild To Protect Mom

A woman in Florida called 911 over an incident that turned out to be a family affair. The story ended with the woman’s daughter allegedly stabbing her own grandmother. However, the act was done in order to protect the caller, the child’s own mother.

A Caller’s 62-Year-Old Mother Arrived At Her Home Uninvited When Things Took A Dangerous Turn

At around 3 PM local time on November 17, 2025, Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call over a disturbance at an Orange Park home. The caller could be heard telling someone to leave her home.

The caller shared that she had gotten into a physical altercation with her estranged mother, identified as 62-year-old Serpil Adams. The identity of the caller herself, however, has not been made public following the incident.

According to reports, the caller was home with her two young children her Adams entered the home through an unlocked door. She allegedly attacked her estranged daughter with a serrated utility knife.

A statement from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was shared on Facebook. It is alleged that one of the caller’s young children came to her mother’s defense. As it read, “While attempting to protect her mother, the victim’s 8-year-old daughter retrieved a kitchen knife and stabbed Adams in the upper arm.”

Adams then fled the scene in a vehicle. She reportedly returned to Jacksonville, where she had been allegedly staying with a friend. It was there she was later located by authorities and taken into custody without incident.

Fortunately, neither the caller nor the children were injured during the incident. At this time, it was unclear why Adams entered the home and attacked her daughter. After being arrested on November 18, Adams was charged with second-degree attempted murder.

Adams is currently being held in the Clay County jail on a $500,003 bond, as confirmed by online jail records. She is set to appear in court on December 16. At this time, it is unclear if she retained an attorney.
