‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Reveals Half A Million Game-Changing Twist
Wheel of Fortune has been keeping fans guessing puzzles for 50 years. The game show underwent a major change in 2024 when Ryan Seacrest took over as host after Pat Sajak retired. Vanna White stayed on as co-host and letter turner. Every now and again, WoF shakes things up to keep the game interesting. They just added a $500,000 game-changing twist that fans need to know about.
Wheel Of Fortune Reveals Game-Changing Twist
Wheel of Fortune is known as “America’s Game” due to its popularity with puzzle solvers. The game show tests the contestants and the audience’s ability to solve puzzles with just a few letters as hints. The contestant with the highest score overall after three regular rounds heads to the Bonus Round where they can win additional cash prizes. Some lucky contestants win a new car or an all-paid vacation to a popular tourist destination.
Even if they don’t win the Bonus Round, they walk away with their previous winnings. One contestant recently tried to walk away with Ryan Seacrest’s watch. Wheel of Fortune is teaming up with DraftKings Casino for a special tournament.
Throughout the week of November 24th through November 28th, two special DraftKings Casino multiplier wedges will be added to the Wheel. If a contestant picks one up, they’ll win $1,000 per consonant, multiplied by up to 5x. The winner on Monday through Thursday will go to a normal Bonus Round.
Special Championship Event For $500,000
The champions from the event’s first four days will return on Friday, November 28, for a special championship game. According to Parade magazine, the Bonus Round for the championship game is completely different. The finalist will have to solve multiple puzzles in just 45 seconds. The Bonus Round puzzles are worth about $10,000 each.
At the end of the Bonus Round, the contestant could win up to $200,000 with the DraftKings Casino multiplier. “This new bonus round format is just one of the many ways our collaboration with DraftKings demonstrates how Wheel of Fortune integrations set the industry standard,” a Sony Executive said about the surprising partnership between the brands.
The contestants aren’t the only ones who could win big during the tournament.
Viewers At Home Can Win $10K
A lot of Wheel of Fortune fans play along at home, wishing they could be in the studio in Burbank, California, to win real money. Now they have a chance. Viewers could possibly win $10,000 on wheeloffortune.com during the tournament.

To have a chance to win the cash prize, viewers must create a Wheel Watchers Club at the show’s official website. There’s a chance to win $10,000 during the tournament. After watching the show live or online, fans can log onto the website and enter the Bonus Round puzzle for a chance to win. Friday’s contestant entrants enter the Bonus Round category, since the rapid-fire Bonus Round for that episode has multiple puzzles.
