Blake Shelton has been a country music star since 2001, when his breakout hit, “Austin,” dominated the airwaves. Gwen Stefani has been famous even longer, rising to fame in 1996 when No Doubt hit it big with the breakup anthem, “Don’t Speak.”
The two became friends when they were both coaches on NBC’s The Voice in 2014. In a shocking twist, their friendship turned romantic, and they officially started dating in 2015. Blake Shelton made Gwen Stefani his wife in 2021 after six years of dating.
The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in July. But they haven’t been spotted out much in recent months. In a surprise move, they skipped this year’s Country Music Awards. The CMAs were held on Wednesday, November 19, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Lainey Wilson hosted the event.
Blake Shelton won CMA Musical Event of the Year for his hit song “Pour Me a Drink” with Post Malone. The award was given out prior to the ABC broadcast. Gwen Stefani and her husband reportedly watched the awards from home.
In Danger Of Becoming ‘Another Hollywood Divorce’
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have allegedly been living “separate lives” as their careers go in different directions. After leaving The Voice, Blake Shelton teamed up with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan to create a new music competition for CBS.
Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani is reuniting with No Doubt for a massive residency in early 2026. The band takes over The Sphere in Vegas for dates in May and June. An insider spilled to Star magazine that the couple’s differences are “starting to become more apparent now.”
“The priority is to get in the same room again and stop the rot before it’s too late,” the source added.
Their friends and family allegedly worry that it might be too late to save the marriage. “There’s a real fear that the way things are headed, Blake and Gwen could wind up becoming another Hollywood divorce casualty, even though it’s the last thing either of them would want,” the source said.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani haven’t publicly addressed the rumors that their marriage is in trouble. However, skipping a very public event like the CMAs only adds fuel to the fire, especially when the country singer was up for an award.
