He Never Came Home From Work

Nick Acker and Stephanie Jaszcz were planning to marry in early 2026. Their engagement came just ten days before his tragic death. The grieving fiance told the local news more details about what happened. She explained that she hadn’t heard from her fiance in hours and he never came home from work.

So, Stephanie Jaszcz rushed to the facility and spoke to an employee through the intercom system. “She tells me he never punched out and they’re looking for him. All of a sudden, an ambulance, a fire truck, cop cars are all coming in. No one will let me through the gate. No one will talk to me,” Stephanie Jaszcz recounted.

However, it took two more hours for anyone to tell her about her fiancé’s death. She added, “We want to know what happened and how long he was there. That’s what we want to know. We want to know how he even ended up there and why doesn’t anybody know where he was at?”

Victim’s Fiance Blasts USPS For ‘Gross’ Statement After Incident

The Michigan USPS distribution facility released a statement to PEOPLE magazine expressing condolences for the death of their employee. “The United States Postal Service is deeply saddened by the loss of our employee at the Detroit Network Distribution Center (NDC) in Allen Park, MI. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. The NDC is fully operational, at this time,” the statement said.

Nick Acker’s fiance blasted the cold response from his employer about his death. “Sorry about the loss, but the mail’s still moving. They couldn’t even say his name or acknowledge that he was an Air Force veteran. A man gone. A veteran. A husband. A human being. And all you can think of is mail keeps moving? Inhumane. It’s gross,” she angrily responded.

The accidental death is still under investigation. However, she told the news that it could be months before the family knows what happened and how her fiance died. Tell us in the comments what you think of the facility’s response.
