Michael Duarte, a food influencer also known as “FoodWithBearHands,” recently lost his life in an accident. The influencer notably died three days before his wedding anniversary. Duarte’s family also shared more details about the story through a GoFundMe campaign.

Michael Duarte’s Talent Agency Broke The Tragic News The Day After His Death

Duarte is originally from a small town called Calipatria. His uncle, Arthur Barros, served as a mentor to him, gave him his first job in the culinary arts at his Mexican restaurant.

While living in San Diego, Duarte started working at various restaurants, such as Dave & Buster’s. In time, he also made quite an impression on social media.

At one point, Michael gained over two million followers online. He especially became known for his videos of BBQs and grills. As shared on his Instagram page, he wrote, “My purpose is to share to the world food to people who need it the most.”

On November 9, Michael’s talent agency, Alooma Media Group, shared the tragic news of his passing. A statement shared, “It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our valued client and dear friend, Michael Duarte.”

“He was a true & loyal partner, a trusted collaborator, and above all, a remarkable person. His passion, professionalism, and creativity left a lasting mark not only on our team but on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.”

According to People, the influencer lost his life in an accident the day before on November 8, 2025. More details were shared over Duarte’s passing in a GoFundMe campaign started by his family.

The Family Shared That Duarte Lost His Life While Traveling In Texas

Reportedly, Michael lost his life in a “horrible incident” while traveling in Texas. The family noted that while many know Duarte through his social media persona, they knew him as “a loving husband, father, brother, and a great friend to many.”

Michael is survived by his wife Jessica and daughter Oakley. While asking for prayers, the family also asked for financial aid for the family amid their tragic loss.

As it was shared, “This heartbreak came without warning, leaving Jessica to incur the expense of bringing him back home to California and covering funeral expenses. During this time, and in the months/years ahead, we want to make sure that Jessica and Oakley are taken care of as Michael would have wanted them to be.”

The statement noted, “Your support would bring comfort, stability, and a reminder that they are not carrying this weight alone.” It was also noted that funeral plans are currently undecided, with fans being updated at a later date.
