Teens Involved In Horrific Louisiana Ferris Wheel Accident
A New Roads, Louisiana, festival turned deadly after a horrific Ferris wheel accident. So, what exactly went down, how many people were affected, and what happened to the fair? Keep reading for further details on this tragic turn of events.
Louisiana Festival Turns Deadly
Festivals are supposed to be fun, filled with rides, food, family, friends, games, and so much more. Yet, what happens when everything takes a turn and tragedy is on the horizon? Eventgoers at a New Roads, Louisiana, festival just found out when a Ferris wheel took a turn and things became terrifying. From October 30th through November 1st, the Harvest Festival is not to be missed. It is filled with family fun until the last day, when two girls were riding the beloved Ferris wheel. They were then thrown from the ride, and per an eyewitness, he saw them surrounded by blood.
As it turns out, someone had been on the Ferris wheel the night before, October 31st. They stated that they left unscathed but did not feel safe while riding it due to the creepy sounds it kept making:
“It was cracking, like they need to take this down.”
They further added what it was like when the girls flew out of the ride. He shared how the Ferris wheel carts are supposed to move along with the ride. Moreover, it should be seamless, but the carts that riders sit in ended up getting stuck. The way that it stopped caused the girls to fall right out.
As of right now, the statuses of the two Louisiana teenagers are unknown. Therefore, it is unclear if they are in critical condition or have been stabilized. An investigation is ongoing regarding the rides at the festival. This includes the Ferris wheel and a slide that was nearby. More so, they have not shared if the festival will run again in 2026 after this tragedy.

After followers read about this awful incident, they immediately sent love and prayers to the two girls. They wanted to make it clear that they hoped they would have a speedy recovery and make it out unscathed. Unfortunately, something so traumatic will likely affect these ladies for the rest of their lives and will not soon be forgotten. Regardless, they have received an immense amount of love:
- I pray to God that these two beautiful angels recover from the injuries they suffered from this terrible ordeal. As for their mental health, I understand that will take so much longer to recover from because what they saw and experienced falling down from such a high ride. A ferris wheel is so much higher than any other ride, even if we don’t think so. Continued prayers for all involved 🙏 ❤️ 🙌 ♥️
Hopefully, they make a full recovery and live every day to the fullest after suffering from something so horrid. Finally, may this be a warning to all festivals to ensure rides are up to par so this never happens again.
