‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Gets Savaged By Fans, Want Her Out
Whoopi Goldberg has been the moderator on The View for nearly twenty years. She joined the show after Rosie O’Donnell’s departure in 2007. Whoopi reportedly signed a four-year deal in 2021. She returned for Season 29 but whether she’s under a new contract wasn’t made clear.
Some fans think her time on the show should end. Viewers took aim at her, demanding she be ousted from the show for her shocking behavior.
Whoopi Goldberg Drops F-Bomb On Live TV
Whoopi Goldberg is passionate about her beliefs, especially her political ideology. The current hosts of The View come from various political affiliations, but many lean left. One of the biggest complaints from viewers is the lack of equal airtime for conservative voices. But a guest next week is a huge step in remedying that.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Representative of the 14th Congressional District in Georgia, is a guest on Tuesday, November 4. Her appearance falls on Election Day. Whoopi Goldberg got heated when promoting MTG’s appearance on Thursday’s show. The View co-host touted the lawmaker’s recent comments speaking out against the government shutdown.
Whoopi Goldberg was surprised that she agreed with the congresswoman on the issue. The actress blasted the Senate and said the shutdown “should not be affecting the American people.” In a moment that shocked her co-stars and the audience, Whoopi Goldberg almost cursed on live TV when she said, “These are decisions that you don’t have the right to…” She seemed poised to drop the f-bomb but stopped herself.

After a commercial break, she told the audience that a viewer had called in to complain about the near slip-up.
The View Fans Want Her Out
If Whoopi Goldberg did drop the f-bomb, it wouldn’t have been the first time she went off-script on The View. But some fans of the show are tired of her as moderator. They don’t think she even wants to be there.
One fan wrote on social media, “I stopped watching The View and the only reason is Whoopi’s incredibly high annoyance factor. She’s singularly unwatchable.”
Other fans agreed. Check out some of the other comments:
- “it’s hard for her to stay on topic because her background isn’t in journalism”
- “She looks like she does not want to be there & it brings down the whole atmosphere.”
- “She has said she can’t afford to retire because of her past 3 marriages, so she’s obviously there just for the paycheck and it shows.”
- “In a perfect world, following Season 30, Whoopi would scale back her appearances to twice a week, pulling an Ellen Pompeo on Grey’s Anatomy type of deal, and allow Joy to moderate on the days she’s there and maybe Sara or Sunny on a Monday”
- “Joy is the better moderator. Love her on Fridays”
One fan suggested Gayle King could take over as moderator. She is reportedly leaving CBS next year. Regardless of what viewers think, they’re stuck with Whoopi Goldberg for now. Let us know in the comments if you think it’s time for her to leave The View.
