Gayle King came out, poking fun at fans constantly confusing the two. She was later asked if she wanted to join the NBC show to replace Hoda. But Gayle has been with CBS since 2012 as host of the network’s morning show.

Hoda Kotb recently had a major career disappointment. She lost out on a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Series Host. Drew Barrymore took home the award for her self-titled daytime talk show.

But the disappointing news didn’t stop her from celebrating a huge achievement by another morning talk show host. Hoda Kotb and Gayle King were among the attendees at a recent event to celebrate Good Morning America anchor Deborah Roberts’ new book.
