‘General Hospital’ Chad Duell Gives Fans Hope For Comeback

Michael Suspect In Drew’s Shooting
Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) was shot in September by a mystery assailant. The investigation is creeping closer to finding the culprit. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was recently arrested for the shooting, but as soap fans know, the first person arrested is rarely the guilty party.
Willow claimed that she was being set up – by her ex-husband, Michael (Rory Gibson.) Fans have several theories about who really pulled the trigger. Some viewers think Michael is covering up to protect Danny (Asher Antonyzyn.)
Michael has an alibi for the time of the shooting but it’s shaky. Dominic Zamprogna, who played Dante, spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the ongoing murder mystery. “Dante is also fully aware that it could all be BS, and Michael is the one who did it,” the actor said.
Chad Duell Gives Fans Hope For General Hospital Comeback
Could the show be setting up Michael to leave town to come back, played by Chad Duell? Many viewers feel that Rory Gibson is doing a great job but some still long for Chad Duell’s return.

“I miss you on GH I can’t bring myself to get used to the new Michael,” one fan wrote on the actor’s social media. Another fan added, “We’re ready when you are, for your comeback.”
Chad Duell announced in late 2024 that he was leaving. His final air date was in January. Rory Gibson took over as Michael in May. At the time of his departure, Chad Duell was going through a lot.
“There’s a few things behind it but one thing I did say is my dad passed away and I’m still coming to terms with that,” he said on The Daily Drama podcast about his decision to leave General Hospital.
He added, “Sometimes you need to take drastic steps or make yourself feel uncomfortable to take a step.”
However, he said the door was left open for his return. The actor lives in North Hollywood, California, which is close to the studio where the soap films.
Since leaving the show, Chad Duell has been spending more time with his family, including his girlfriend, Luana Lucci. They took their son, Dawson, to Disneyland in September to celebrate his second birthday.
Fans want to see Chad Duell back on General Hospital but that open door seemed to close when Rory Gibson stepped through it. Of course, soap fans know to never say never, but it doesn’t seem like Chad Duell will return to the ABC soap any time soon.

i think that Michael coming back “so cold” as Dante put it the “chad Michael” being switched to the “Rory Michael” would explain everything in the Michael world!! it’s been done several times B4 in the soap opera world
Would rather keep Rory as Michael. He’s doing a much better job anyway. Let Chad look for another job.
