South Carolina Postal Worker Mauled By Pitbull Delivering Mail
A South Carolina postal worker was recently attacked by a neighborhood dog while on the job, resulting in serious injuries. What else do we know about this situation and everything that happened following the incident?
Dog Attacks Happen A Lot In America
While only a small percentage of dog attacks in the United States are fatal each year, getting attacked by a dog is a traumatic and painful experience for anyone who happens to go through it. Even for the majority of people who do survive, many have to get stitched up, and others even require surgery, depending on the severity of the attack.
A dog is often seen as a man’s best friend. While this is often true between a dog and its family, it’s a different story altogether when many of these dogs encounter strangers out and about, especially if a dog happens to get loose without his or her owner around.
In these instances, the owners are often charged for the actions of their dogs, and in extreme cases, the animals are put down. So, this is never a good situation for anyone involved when dog attacks happen.
South Carolina Postal Worker Severely Injured By Dog
Based on the latest news making the rounds surrounding this incident, a postal worker was “seriously injured” in a dog attack while delivering mail. According to a statement from the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office, it reads, “The dog or dogs attacked the employee, resulting in multiple injuries. Emergency medical services responded to the scene, and the worker was medevaced to a trauma center, where they are currently receiving treatment.”
Based on the latest updates from PEOPLE, the unidentified victim remains in the hospital receiving treatment in the aftermath of this violent attack. The outlet went on to say, “The victim is still in an area hospital receiving treatment for wounds caused by a pit bull dog. The suspected dog is in the custody of animal control. There have been no charges filed as of yet and it is being investigated. The dogs were on the owner’s property. The postal worker was delivering a package.”
The postal worker even tried to get back into their vehicle: however, the dog in question continued on the offensive. Police on the scene sprayed the animal in order to stop the attack. From there, the injured postal worker was flown to the hospital. The victim had both upper and lower body injuries once they arrived at the hospital.

People say that Pit Bulls are no more dangerous than any other dog, yet almost every animal attack article you see involves them.
I decided I would not buy into the whole thing, and rescued an adorable Pitt Bull from the local shelter.
It was great for two days til-out of nowhere and for no reason, the Pitt Bull started attacking my larger, peaceful Newfoundland. I’ve never seen anything like it, completely vicious.
Back he went, and I learned a lesson.
Never again.
It makes me cringe when I see a baby posing with a Pitt Bull saying how gentle they are. Good luck with that one.
Hope your kid doesn’t have to find out for sure the hard way and be disfigured for life.
I dont care what people say about how sweet and loving their pit bull is, they are vicious dogs, not to be trusted because they will turn on you in a heart beat. please don’t let your child be around this breed of dog. If you do I pray you won’t live to regret it.
