‘McBee Dynasty’ Returning With Season 3, Filming Set To Start In Missouri

With the rise in popularity of shows like Yellowstone and Tulsa King in recent years, many people are fascinated by modern American cowboys and their daily lives on a ranch. This is exactly where a show like The McBee Dynasty comes in.
The show follows Steven McBee Sr. and his sons as they run the family ranch, and this includes all of the drama and all of the pitfalls that come with that. Based on the latest news from Variety, Bravo has officially renewed The McBee Dynasty for Season 3, and fans of the show can expect a lot of drama in the upcoming episodes.
Making this even more interesting, Season 3 will begin filming ahead of the October 16 sentencing of Steven McBee Sr. The family patriarch’s trouble with the law has been a major storyline on this family show, and it’s real-life drama that writes itself.
From Season 1 to Season 2, ratings jumped up by 82 percent, with an average of 1.3M weekly viewers across all platforms. With Season 3 officially given the green light and set to begin filming, it would not be surprising if future episodes attracted the same kind of viewership, if not more.
Lots Of Family Drama On The McBee Dynasty
Variety calls The McBee Dynasty a mix between The Righteous Gemstones and Succession, which is certainly a fitting comparison. As viewers saw in the previous season, with Steven Sr. dealing with his legal woes, his sons had to step up in a major way.
According to Variety, “In November 2024, McBee pleaded guilty in federal court to a ‘multi-million dollar fraud scheme involving federal crop insurance benefits he was not entitled to receive’ from 2018 through 2020. In a memo from Oct. 6, prosecutors asked U.S. District Court Judge Stephen R. Bough to sentence McBee to 41 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release and more than $4 million in restitution.”
When you have an operation like the McBees have, there is automatically a huge target on your back, and Steven and his brothers have done their best to diversify and grow the family business, all while dealing with other modern problems, like relationships, family drama, and more.
