Underage Boy Arrested In Connection To Alabama Shooting
A young boy was recently arrested in connection to a shooting in Alabama. During the incident, two people lost their lives, with multiple others injured. According to local police, the boy could face multiple charges, including one count of capital murder.
Fourteen People Were Struck During The Incident, With Two Killed
Gunfire was previously announced in downtown Montgomery back on Saturday, October 4, 2025. The incident took place during a busy time, with a fair and other attractions set up for a college football game in the Montgomery area.
At least fourteen people were struck during the incident. Two people were killed, with twelve others wounded.

On October 10, nearly a week after the incident, the Montgomery Police Department announced that an underage boy had been arrested in connection with the shooting. At the time, the boy’s identity was not shared as he was a minor. The boy was taken into police custody on the day the announcement was made, with him placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
Montgomery Police Shared That They Believe More Arrests Will Follow In Connection To The Case
Currently, the boy is now facing several charges. He has been charged with one count of capital murder, nine counts of assault in the first degree, and three counts of assault in the second degree.
A video was shared of the arrest by local authorities. The child, whose face was not shown, was seen in handcuffs. He was also directed into the back of an officer’s car.

In a statement shared by People, police shared that more arrests in the case are expected. It read, “Additional arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues. This progress reflects the swift response, tireless efforts, and professionalism of the Montgomery Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. “MPD extends its gratitude to local and federal law enforcement partners for their continued support and collaboration, which have been instrumental in advancing the case.”
According to WSFA 12 News, Montgomery Police Department Chief James Graboys also shared more details about the story. According to him, the two victims who lost their lives were found dead at the scene. Three of the surviving victims were also said to have endured “life-threatening injuries.” The MPD release also shared the identities of the two murdered victims: Jeremiah Morris and Shalanda Williams, who were 17 and 43 at the time of their deaths.
As shared by NBC News, police suspect there were at least “two parties involved” during the recent incident. Authorities reportedly believed these parties were “basically shooting at each other in the middle of a crowd.”
