In some instances, like this recent situation in Ohio, things can turn violent. A woman is accused of breaking into her boyfriend’s home and cutting open his scrotum. As any Lifetime movie in the last 25 years will tell you, relationships are getting increasingly difficult to navigate. These days, getting ghosted or stood up is the least of your worries. Even in established relationships, things can go awry. In some cases, things even take a violent turn, and police must step in.

This was recently the case in Ohio, where a woman is accused of breaking into her boyfriend’s home and cutting his scrotum open in a particularly violent incident. According to the latest details from PEOPLE, “Police in Toledo, Ohio filed warrants for the arrest of Jeanita Hopings, 45, on charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary, in connection with the incident.”

According to the allegations, Hopings “forcefully kicked open the front door” of her boyfriend’s home on October 7. According to police, the woman entered the home without permission.

Breaking And Entering Takes An Even More Violent Turn

Unfortunately for the boyfriend of Jeanita Hopings, things took an even more violent turn once she entered his home. Based on allegations from authorities, they allege that she cut her boyfriend’s scrotum with an “unknown instrument.” The boyfriend was taken to the hospital following the incident for treatment.

According to the warrant, it states, “Victim’s testicle was clearly exposed as the result of the laceration.” PEOPLE also notes following the incident, “Hopings is not currently in custody and has not entered a plea to any of the charges. Hopings had never previously been charged with a felony but she has been charged with several traffic-related misdemeanors, according to Lucas County court records.”
