The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made an exciting announcement on the show this week. She’s pregnant. Keep reading to find out more about her surprise pregnancy and if she’s staying on the daytime talk show.

Alyssa Farah Griffin Finally Pregnant After Long Fertility Journey

Alyssa Farah Griffin has been married to her husband, Justin, since 2021. During those years, she struggled to get pregnant and start their family. Now 36, she announced on The View this week that she’s finally pregnant.

After airing an awkward clip of Whoopi Goldberg asking her once before if she was pregnant, the beaming co-host rubbed her growing belly and told her to ask her again. The View hosts, including Alyssa’s alleged rival Ana Navarro, all jumped out of their seats to congratulate the expectant mom.

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine after her shocking announcement, Alyssa Farah Griffin shared that it took five rounds of IVF before she got pregnant.

“IVF, it was an emotional roller coaster. My first round wasn’t bad but I got over-confident and started my second right away, and let me tell you, it’s unlike anything I’ve experienced,” she told the outlet.

Is The View Looking For Host To Replace Her?

She credited the flexible schedule as co-host of The View for being able to make her early morning doctor appointments during her IVF journey. Alyssa Farah Griffin and her husband are expecting a baby boy in February 2026.

The Griffins relocated from New York City to Bronxville, New York, in 2024. It’s only an hour’s commute, but that might be too much once the baby arrives.

Fans of The View took to social media to discuss whether the show will replace Alyssa Farah Griffin when she’s on maternity leave. The show could just continue without her. Or they might have Ana Navarro step in more often like she did during former host Meghan McCain’s pregnancy.

A lot of fans want to see someone step in for Alyssa while she’s gone. Check out some of the comments on social media:

  • “I’m hoping for some fun guest hosts again”
  • “I would like to see Amy Holmes as the conservative.”
  • “Petition to bring back Meghan”
  • “We’ll probably get a lot of Rachel Lindsay, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Abby Huntsman when Ana can’t be there.”

But could the replacement be permanent?

Fans Want Complete Overhaul

Before she was a co-host on The View, Alyssa Farah Griffin served in President Trump’s previous administration. She was part of the White House communications team from 2017 until 2019 when she resigned.

She joined the ABC talk show as a permanent co-host in 2022. But amid speculation that The View could be canceled, some fans think an entire new panel is the only way to fix it. Alyssa Farah Griffin’s maternity leave could be the perfect time to audition new hosts, don’t you think?
