Saying goodbye to your furry family members is one of the hardest things people have to do. Based on the latest updates making the rounds, a pet crematorium in San Marcos, California, is in hot water, and many grieving pet owners are outraged. What’s going on with this situation, and what do we know so far?

Saying Goodbye To Pets Is One Of Life’s Hardest Things

When you welcome a pet into your home and make it part of your family, you do so with the knowledge that, at some point, you’re going to have to say goodbye. Even though pets do outlive their owners in some cases, because of animals having shorter lifespans, the reality most of the time is that pet owners are regularly left to grieve the passing of their furry family members.

This is one of the hardest trials that life throws. Because of how many years pet owners spend taking care of their animals, the bonds they form are incredibly strong, which only makes it that much harder to say goodbye when the time eventually comes.

San Marcos Pet Crematorium Under Fire, What Happened?

When pets pass away, pet owners do a number of things to grieve the loss, but also to remember the time they had together fondly. In some cases, people get things like tattoos. In other instances, however, some pet owners choose to cremate their animal companions.

One pet crematorium in San Marcos is under fire for fraud. The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a pet cremation business called Angel Paws. Numerous complaints from pet owners led to this ongoing investigation, with many pet owners alleging that they were given the wrong animal remains, and others saying that they received the remains in extremely poor condition.

According to CBS8, “The San Diego Sheriff’s Office confirmed it is investigating Angel Paws for possible fraud after numerous complaints from pet owners. Many customers found their pets had not been cremated as promised, with some animals left unrefrigerated for extended periods.”

Speaking of the situation, the general manager of Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery, Gerry Wellman, said of a sheep that was found at Angel Paws, “It was terrible, the odor that was coming out from the body of the sheep. The owner knows it’s his because of some markings. We received it, cremated it immediately because we just couldn’t allow it to be here without cremation.”

Luckily, Wellman is stepping in to help Angel Paws customers. With this investigation still ongoing, Angel Paws is facing eviction.

  1. they should be jailed, thats animal abuse it doesn’t matter whether they were deceased. how dare them treat peoples precious 💞 animal this way. Personally I’m sucking by this and my heart breaks for the owners of the precious babies and for the utter disrespect to both the animals and owners. there is so much evil in the world and “We” the Believers need to ban together in prayer and defeat these evil beings around us. This is as horrible as if it was a human crematorium doing this. I am a big animal lover. I lost my Shaggy of 13yrs June 2023, and to be honest it crossed my mind as to whether his remains where some other dog or a mixture. because I remember someone telling me that they cremate multiple animals at the same time. Now I am wondering how true that may have been. I hope they throw the book at the ones responsible for this.
