‘When Calls The Heart’ Spinoff Gets Third Season
Fans of the When Calls the Heart franchise recently got big news. The series’ spin-off, When Hope Calls, is getting a new season. In fact, a few of the series’ stars have also been sharing their reactions to the big news.
A New Season Is Coming Out With A Brand-New Subtitle
When Calls the Heart first premiered back in 2014. Based on the Janette Oke book of the same name, the series has become a fan-favorite staple of the Hallmark Channel’s programs.
The series recently wrapped up its twelfth season back in March, with a thirteenth season expected right around the corner. However, news has also come out about the show’s spin-off series, When Hope Calls.
Back in 2019, fans saw the release of When Hope Calls. This spin-off focuses on Lillian and Grace, two orphaned sisters introduced in When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing. During the second season, the show began airing on Great American Family.
As noted by TV Line, the series has officially been renewed for a third season. This season already comes with a new subtitle: Brookfield.
According to the outlet, the new season is already in production. Fans won’t have to wait too long, as it’s expected for a 2026 release. As with the previous season, which wrapped up this past May, the new episodes are expected to premiere on Great American Family.
Great American Media president and CEO Bill Abbott shared in a statement, “We are delighted to continue the journey of When Hope Calls. This series embodies the heart, hope and values that resonate so strongly with audiences and define our brand. With a stellar cast leading the way, we look forward to continuing to share inspiring stories from Brookfield that viewers love.”
A Few Of The Stars Of When Hope Calls Have Been Celebrating The Good News On Social Media
The third season’s cast includes Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, Sarah Fisher, Nick Bateman, Trevor Donovan, Wendy Crewson, Hanneke Talbot, Simon Arblaster, and Jon McLaren. Brad Krevoy, Don McDonald, Alfonso H. Moreno and David Anselmo will also serve as executive producers.
On social media, many are reacting to the news, including the actors. In a post shared by Great American Family’s Instagram account, Jon McLaren wrote, “The best team! So excited to be back!” For his part, Nick Bateman also shared a hat-tipping GIF.
