‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Overhaul Coming: Who’s On Chopping Block?
According to recent tea from Wheel Of Fortune insiders, big changes seem to be coming to Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, where the popular game show is filmed. So, what did these insiders have to say about what viewers can expect moving forward?
Wheel Of Fortune Future Uncertain, With Many Variables In Play
Ever since Pat Sajak stepped down as the popular host of Wheel Of Fortune, there has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding the program and its future. As much as the popular game show has been a fixture of pop culture for decades, many watchers wanted Ryan Seacrest out of a job as soon as he was announced as the new host of the show.
While Ryan Seacrest did survive his first season, and even though things seemed to be steady toward the end of that, Wheel Of Fortune insiders recently had some new tea to spill, and it does not look like everything is as harmonious as the show wants to make it seem.
Game Show Insiders Reveal “Chaos” On Set
In addition to the drama surrounding Ryan Seacrest, many Wheel Of Fortune fans have been talking about Vanna White and her future with the show as well. While she has stayed on to bridge the gap between the Pat Sajak and Ryan Seacrest eras, there has been a lot of chatter surrounding when she might eventually hang it up and retire for good.
A Wheel Of Fortune show insider recently spoke to the Daily Mail, saying, “This big change was from Pat to Ryan, and for a moment, execs were considering getting rid of Vanna, but in the next negotiations, if Vanna stays on the same page, then they will likely offer a few more years at the same rate.”
Speaking more about Vanna White and her potential future with the show, the insider added, “They are happy to keep her around, but if she pushes for more, then they might start thinking about a replacement.”
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the show ever since Pat Sajak left, with some rumors even suggesting that his daughter, Maggie Sajak, could be in the running to take Vanna White’s job.
Speaking more about the current contract situation, the insider said, “Vanna knows what she is working with and knows she doesn’t have that much leverage. But she’s currently having her agents and lawyers deal with it before any type of public griping happens.”
