Two Indianapolis Students Forced Punishment, Gets Burns

Two Indianapolis students were forced to do a punishment for their grades. However, the punishment was shocking. They were on the high school majorette team. However, they were forced to do bear crawls for their bad grades. This alone does not seem too bad. However, they were forced to do it on an asphalt track when it was almost 90 degrees outside. Asphalt gets much hotter than the temperature outside. So, it was extremely hot. This led to the students getting second-degree burns on their hands. Their parents were in complete shock to see this when they picked their children up. Now, this is not looking too good for the coach who forced them to do this.

Parents Accuse Coach Of ‘Child Abuse’ After Injuries

The parents of the two high school students are accusing the coach of “child abuse” after what they heard. They had to take their children to the emergency room. One was told they would take six months to recover.

“I really just want to know what made you think that that was okay, on the 86-degree, whatever degree weather, day that it was okay to have them doing bear crawls on an asphalt track when it had to be at least over 100 degrees on the track. This isn’t discipline. It’s child abuse. These are young girls. They’re not training to be a Navy SEAL or Army Ranger.”

Yikes. The school has put out a statement that they are taking this situation seriously. However, people are in utter shock about the entire thing.
