Texas Baseball Coach Shot On Baseball Field
Accidents happen all the time, but when someone is shot, it goes to another level. Such is the case with a Texas baseball coach when he was preparing for a game. He coached youth baseball, which is very precious and can form how kids see sports. Moreover, it can set them up for success and determination, but when tragedy strikes, all bets are off. As the kids and coaches were getting ready to begin and join at home plate, shocking noises could be heard. Of course, no one would believe that it was gunshots until one bullet struck a coach.

Sunday, September 21st, shots flew around the field, just as the first pitch was being set up. Everyone in attendance exited the field to head for safety. Unfortunately, one coach seemed terrified regarding what was happening and stayed in one place. He was shot, but after a hospital stint, he has been released and is recovering from the shocking moment. Authorities stated that three people “discharged firearms from a nearby pasture, in the direction of the field.” After that, they were taken into custody and charged with Deadly Conduct, as well as other possible charges.
This was a horrid turn of events, and the Texas community is coming together in an attempt to ease the pain and the blow. They want to be there for the coach as well as the kids who will undoubtedly never forget this moment. Furthermore, the teams are going to be far pickier as to where they choose to play for the safety of their kids and coaches.
The Aftermath
Aside from Texas teams being far more cautious as to where they play, there is a lot of trauma that must be acknowledged. Yes, many people fled and ran, but they also saw what the coach went through. Followers who saw this story were blown away by how the coach stayed completely still:
- That one guy not moving is a dam OG!
Others saw one of the kids speak and immediately felt relieved that the teams had been watched over. This could have been far worse, but luckily, it was not:
- Miracles happen
- Outdoor shooting ranges need to be into a hill or specialized wall. You can’t just not be aware of your surroundings and shoot willy nilly. Dumb dumbs.
- Neanderthals should not have access to guns.
Hopefully, the kids and the coach get the help that they need and will work together to recover. What do you think of this story, and are you surprised? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
