Los Angeles SWAT Team Called To Gordon Ramsay’s Home

Gordon Ramsay wasn’t injured in the Los Angeles SWAT incident on Monday. In fact, he wasn’t even at home. He was out of the country at the time the incident happened.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles SWAT was called to Gordon Ramsey’s Bel Air mansion. A call came in from someone who claimed that they shot his brother, who the caller described as a chef. The caller also claimed that they had shot another family member.

The caller told the police that he was armed and on drugs, refusing to leave the house. The SWAT team immediately deployed, thinking Gordon Ramsey was gravely injured.

The call turned out to be another fake swatting incident. Celebrities are a popular target for the phenomenon, which involves reporting fake crimes to the SWAT team. It is a dangerous prank because the SWAT teams show up armed to the teeth and ready for battle.

After arriving at the estate, the police spoke with the chef’s personal assistant, the only person in the house at the time. The police are currently investigating to find out who made the false alarm phone call. Swatting is a crime in many states, including California. Perpetrators face felony charges if anyone is hurt or killed after the prank calls.

Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, and Simon Cowell are just a few famous people who were the victims of swatting. Luckily, no one was injured after the false reports sent SWAT to their homes.

A growing trend swatting targets politicians. Special counsel Jack Smith’s home was a target in 2023. Republican Nikki Haley was the victim of swatting in 2023 and again in 2024. SWAT has been called to U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s home multiple times, including on Christmas Day in 2023.

Not The First Time This Happened

The incident at Gordon Ramsay’s home comes just days before a new season of Hell’s Kitchen premieres on Fox. Season 24, Battle of the States, premieres on Thursday, September 25.

Gordon Ramsey’s Los Angeles home was the target of a swatting incident just a few months ago. The SWAT team was sent to the home in April after a caller claimed someone with a gun opened fire in the mansion.

The British native gained fame in the U.S. with his cooking competition reality shows. Gordon Ramsay doesn’t hold back when training new chefs or turning failing restaurants into booming businesses.

In addition to his many reality shows, Gordon Ramsay also has a line of ready-to-eat frozen meals.
