Hallmark might be best known for their Christmas fare, but they’ve occasionally branched out into other holidays. Halloween is no exception, with the network releasing a few specials celebrating the spooky season. In fact, one recent Hallmark movie is set to pay tribute to another famous Halloween movie, complete with a few familiar faces: Disney Channel’s Halloweentown.

The Halloweentown franchise is made up of a series of films from the Disney Channel. The original namesake 1998 film revolved around a young girl named Marnie, originally played by actress Kimberly J. Brown, and her siblings learning their grandmother is a witch from a place called Halloweentown.

The film had a few sequels over the years. The first came out in 2001, Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge, in which Marnie had to save Halloweentown and the mortal world from the son of an evil warlock. Other sequels came out in 2004 and 2006.

Hallmark recently announced they are paying homage to the cult-classic Disney Channel films. This will take place with the film, Haul Out the Halloween, itself a Halloween spin-off for the Christmas movie franchise Haul Out the Holly.

Brown will appear in the film alongside Daniel Kountz, her real-life husband and Halloweentown co-star. Kountz had previously played the villainous Kalabar Jr. in the 2001 film.

According to TV Line, the two will play Luna and Marvin, who are described as a pair of “fun and spooky new neighbors.” Many other familiar actors from the franchise will appear in the film, including Lacey Chabert, Melissa Peterman, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Ellen Travolta.

A description for the film noted that Evergreen Lane tends to be a bit “modest” when it comes to Halloween. However, Luna and Marvin will inspire the characters to create “EverSCREAM Lane” in the hopes of raising funds for local charities.

A Few Cast Photos Already Show The Characters In Their Costumes

The synopsis read, “As the block pulls together to plan creepy contests, spine-chilling décor and a spooktacular carnival, new haunted hijinks ensue with Pamela, Ned, Mary Louise and the rest of the block. Through the process, Emily rediscovers the joys of the holiday that she and her late grandmother once cherished.”

The outlet also teased some Brown and Kountz’s appearing in the film with some photos. This even included a few images of the actors in their Halloween costumes.

Hallmark also teased the upcoming film in a promotional video on Instagram. In it, the Evergreen Lane cast was visiting their new neighbors, revealing them to be Brown and Kountz’s characters. At the time, Chabert wrote, “Our new neighbors on Evergreen Lane are really into Halloween… Haul Out the Halloween coming to Hallmark Channel this fall! What a dream to return to Evergreen Lane!”
