Is the next step in Jelly Roll’s career as a model? The country singer took to social media to show off a much slimmer figure in designer clothes while modeling Louis Vuitton. Fans couldn’t believe how different he looks now and you won’t either.
Jelly Roll’s Weight Loss Goals
Jelly Roll may need to find a new nickname. Born as Jason DeFord, he was given the nickname “Jelly Roll” by his mother because of his weight. But now the singer has lost nearly half his body weight.
The “Need a Favor” singer weighed 550 pounds at his heaviest. He now weighs around 357, the first time he’s been under 400 pounds since high school.
Jelly Roll started his weight loss journey in 2022 because he wanted to live a healthier, longer life. He’s lost nearly 200 pounds so far, and he’s not done yet. He explained to his wife, Bunnie XO, on her podcast in April that part of what led to the weight loss journey.
“What I want the world to know, and I want people to see … is that I didn’t become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it. I somehow managed to be this successful carrying 550 pounds,” he said.
He said it was important to him for the public to see him lose the weight. Too many people lost weight in secrecy out of shame, he said.
Since losing the weight, Jelly Roll has hit bucket list goal after bucket list goal. He made his professional wrestling debut at SummerSlam this summer. In another first, the singer was finally able to ride a scooter, zipping around Berlin, Germany, while on tour.

One of Jelly Roll’s future goals is to appear on the cover of a men’s health magazine. His most recent Instagram post proves that he could have a side career as a model.
The singer recently performed in Italy at an event attended by the Pope. He took to Instagram to share a glimpse at the Louis Vuitton outfit he wore on stage. The designer clothes included a collared jacket, black button-up top and matching pants.
“I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account,” he joked in the caption.

His wife shared her appreciation for her husband in the comments. “The hunkiest hunk of them all,” Bunnie XO wrote. Another follower wrote, “Bro you gotta change yall name now to just JR. no rolls Left.”
After wrapping up his overseas tour with Post Malone later this month, Jelly Roll embarks on a solo tour to Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico.
