Oklahoma Woman Gets Scammed Out Of $1,200

Brenda Myers was a victim of a scam. She ended up having no money to her name after the scam took place. She thought she was receiving a legit message from Apple. The text said that someone was trying to use her Apple Wallet, and she needed to call to get it figured out. She called, but something told her no. So, she hung up but then called back. However, the scam then made her lose $1,200.

“I’d never seen a message like that before on my iPhone. So I called it, and then I hung up because I thought, now this ain’t right,. But then something made me call back, and I don’t know why.”

Two Kind Donors Step Up To Help Her And Replace Money

After hearing about Brenda’s unfortunate situation, two donors stepped up and wanted to pay her back the money. Neither of them wanted their faces or names out there. However, one donated a few hundred dollars and said they knew what it was like to be scammed. However, the other donor offered to pay it back in full as they felt bad. This helped Myers tremendously. However, she got disability, and this was all the money she had for the month. She needed it to survive. So, she was overwhelmed with what she had received and could not thank them enough.

It seems as though the donors did not want their names or faces out there. They were not doing this for fame or recognition. They only wanted to help the woman. One said they knew what it was like to be scammed, and they felt bad for her. However, the two donors covering the money made the woman’s life a lot easier, and she was so grateful for them.
