Andrew Firestone Announces Divorce
Andrew Firestone, who was The Bachelor, announced that he is getting a divorce. This news came out on Instagram yesterday. The fans were shocked to hear it. Andrew and his wife, Ivana, are over and calling it quits. They share three children together. They have sons Adam Brooks (born in 2009) and Shane (born in 2014), and daughter Anja Jasmine (born in 2011.)
This couple has plans to work together to co-parent, but they won’t be married anymore. Only time will tell how things go for them and if either of them finds love again with someone new. They are staying quiet about the actual reason behind the split, so fans will just have to speculate.
Andrew Firestone Shares Statement
Andrew went to his Instagram to share a statement about what is going on. After 17 years, the couple is over and here is what he had to say:
“Those who know us well know that family has always been at the foundation of our lives and at the center of everything we do. After much reflection and many hours of counseling we have decided that we can best serve our children and honor that commitment to family by moving forward separately as co-parents,” they wrote. “While this was not an easy decision, we remain united in raising our children with love, stability, and the values we share.
Though no longer a couple, we will always be a family, cheering from the actual and proverbial sidelines for our children’s and each others’ happiness and success. Seventeen years of marriage is an achievement we deeply honor, as it brought us three extraordinary children and forged lifelong, generational bonds and friendships that will always endure.
This Bachelor was on the show as the third Bachelor ever. Fans loved him, and he didn’t find love on the show, but he did find love outside of it. Sadly, it didn’t work out for him.
