Kate Gosselin Blames Ex-Husband For ‘Ugly’ Divorce
Jon and Kate Gosselin skyrocketed to fame with their TLC show about raising sextuplets and twins. They welcomed sextuplets, Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Leah, and Joel, in 2004. They previously welcomed twins Mady and Cara in 2000.
Raising eight children with TV cameras catching every moment was too much for their marriage. Jon and Kate divorced in 2009. Kate Gosselin was granted full custody of their children and continued the TLC show under the name Kate Plus 8, which aired until 2017.
After falling out of the public eye for years, Kate Gosselin recently returned via social media. She opened up about how her ex-husband made the divorce “ugly.”

Kate Gosselin has been out of the public eye for the last few years. She created a TikTok account earlier this summer and has been sharing updates about her life now. She returned to her nursing career.
The Gosselin sextuplets are 21 now and many of them are in college. The twins are 24. Aaden, Alexis, Joel, and Leah still live at home with their mom when they aren’t at college. She’s been estranged from her son Collin since 2016, when she sent him away to a mental health institution. Jon Gosselin won custody of Collin in 2018. Jon and Kate’s daughter Hannah chose to live with Collin and Jon that same year.
Kate Gosselin spends a lot of time on her TikTok addressing rumors about her former marriage and relationship with her kids. In one recent TikTok Live, she spoke out about rumors that she stole the college funds meant for her eight kids.

She recently opened up about another money issue that she struggled with. She claimed that her ex-husband cost her a lot of money by “dragging” her into court during their divorce.
“I didn’t buy into all the drama and the hate and the ugly. I had kids involved, so I wanted it to be as peaceful for them as I possibly could,” she said about the divorce battle.
“It could’ve been a lot calmer and a lot nicer if everybody was willing to play nice,” she said about her ex-husband. She added, “I did not hire an attorney that wanted to stir up trouble. I just wanted it to be peaceful, and I wanted the best for my kids.”

She admitted that the reality TV show and divorce caused damage to her kids. “A lot of things happened that I could not control that did not turn out well for my kids,” Kate Gosselin candidly admitted.
Fans of the TLC show are happy to see her living her best life and thriving. Her TikTok comment section is always full of praise, though there’s usually at least one hater.
