Bruce Willis’ Wife Prepares For His Last Stages Of Life
Fans have been following actor Bruce Willis’ health journey after he was diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia over the past few years. Since then, a big move was recently made for the actor. This also comes out as the actor’s wife, Emma, has opened up about the situation.
Bruce Willis & His Wife Emma Were The Subject Of A Recent Special
As an actor, Willis is known for a variety of roles, such as John McClane in the Die Hard franchise. Other films he’s known for include Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, Looper, and Sin City.
In recent years, Willis has retired from acting due to health issues. In 2022, he was diagnosed with aphasia. The following year also saw him diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

As noted by Radar Online, the actor has moved out of his family’s home amid his health battles. The move, to a smaller home, will allow him to accommodate his caretakers, which will also allow him to receive 24-hour treatment. Willis is also said to be living near his wife Emma and their children.
Emma herself previously talked to Diane Sawyer about the move in an ABC News special, Emma & Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey. At the time, she shared it was one of the hardest decisions of her life. However, she noted, “I knew, first and foremost, Bruce would want that for our daughters. You know, he would want them to be in a home that was more tailored to their needs, not his needs.”
During The Conversation, Emma Also Shared What It Was Like First Noticing A Change In Bruce
Emma noted that she and her daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, visit daily for breakfast and dinner. She added, “It’s our second home, so the girls have their things there.”
Emma also shared that the small house has an open door for friends and family to visit. She explained, “It’s a house that is filled with love, warmth, and care and laughter, and it’s been beautiful to see that. To see how many of Bruce’s friends continue to show up for him. They bring in life and fun.”
During an emotional moment, Emma also shared the moment when she first began to notice a change in Bruce’s health. Noting that he loved taking his daughters to school, she added, “And then those school runs just started to not happen as much.”
“I thought, ‘this is so weird.’ For someone who was very talkative and energized, he was just a little quieter. When the family would get together, he would just kind of melt a little bit.” Noticing her husband started to feel “very removed,” she added, “To go in the complete opposite of that was alarming and scary.”
Emma, née Heming, has been married to Bruce since 2009. In addition to their two daughters, Emma is also stepmother to Willis’ daughters from his previous marriage to Demi Moore.
