The Summer I Turned Pretty has quite literally taken over the summer. The hit show is on its third and final season. It is based on books that fans have loved for years. It tells the story of Conrad, Jeremiah, Belly, and everyone important to them. The Summer I Turned Pretty is a love triangle between the brothers and Belly. However, fans have a lot of opinions on who Belly should end up with. The 8th episode was released today, and fans loved it more than any other episode aired so far. Viewers cannot wait to see what is left for the series.
Gavin Casalegno Flees Country After Character Backlash
Gavin Casalegno plays Jeremiah Fisher in the show. A lot of people do not like Jeremiah as they think he is not the right fit for Isabel Conklin. However, this has left fans bullying Gavin for who he plays in the show. The official account for the show has had to put out statements saying they do not condone bullying, and it cannot be tolerated. However, Gavin has fled to Bali with his wife amid the hate. Gavin recently addressed the hate in an interview.
“They tend to dislike him, yes. I don’t check Instagram anymore, so I really haven’t seen that much hate. The only thing that I see is my sister sending me the memes that are really funny. I think it’s important to also understand and realize that this is a fictional story — and it’s also not me.”
Fans are trying to support Gavin through the hate.

It seems as though Gavin is not seeing too much of the hate. However, it has to be getting to him somewhat. The show has had to put out posts telling fans to stop bullying and that it will not be tolerated. In the end, Gavin is not Jeremiah, and how the character acts is not how Gavin is as a person.
