In her personal life, the actress was married to John Wright from 1995 to 2016. For the past eight years, however, she’s been in a relationship with Wes Ramsey, who was known for playing Peter August on General Hospital.
Wright’s personal life recently became the subject of rumors among fans. However, Wright herself took to social media to set the record straight.
On X, a fan had asked Wright about a piece of news circulating online. The post contained a photo of Wright and Ramsey together. A caption read, “Shocking revelations! Laura Wright gets married, takes 3 months off from GH to rest.”
The fan then asked, “I think you forgot to tell us all your big news?!” Revealing that they were joking, they added, “JK, I wanted to share what is on FB.”
The General Hospital Star Had A One-Word Response To The Viral News Story
The actress herself had one simple word for the post: “fake.” As noted in the comments, this suggested that the photo was created using AI.
Fans took to the comments to share their reactions to the story. Many agreed that measures should be taken to prevent the use of AI to create fake news. A few even noted some telltale signs that gave away that the image was faked.
