  1. The young men in the Plath family have the same issues the young women have. They were not engaged with peers, other families, or different people in their young lives (harbored by their parents) and now have a hard time understanding “good” & “bad” people, choosing a partner, reading social cues, or understanding how to like, love, build partnerships, and understand their self-worth.
The oldest boys initially picked the wrong girls to “fall in love” with, so may have their Dad.
Clearly, they were doing what they were indoctrinated into during their time with their parents, and felt they were grown and could handle “life & love”. Both girls, (V&O), have their own early childhood baggage and their own deep-seated family issues to handle themsleves.
They are selfish, dominating, ridiculing, and not good partners. Veronica is a whack job and makes things up-she is a total narcissist with a bad attitude and makes up “poor me” dialogues she believes are true. She is nasty, combative, rude, and hurtful. She clearly believes (just like Olivia) that she knows more than the Plath men and is superior.
Hope Micah wakes up soon; he can do much better than her. The horse-faced giant needs to move on.
Both older Plath girls are sweet, unworldly, and have an immature ideal and understanding of relationships, true love, and partnerships. Through no fault of their own, they were ill-prepared to go out into the world, build a life with friends (M & F), and find a skill and or career. Again, all thanks to their parents.
All the kids would do well to have a relationship therapist consult so they can eventually choose a good partner. Mariah needs to grow up, find a path, choose it, build her confidence, stay away from men, and get help from a professional relationship expert. Then dive into life; moving won’t help; you are running and need to stop.
