HGTV ‘Bargain Block’ To Air New Episodes After Supposed Cancellation
Bargain Block premiered on HGTV in 2021. The hit show features Keith Bynum and his partner, Evan Thomas, as they renovate and restore homes in the Detroit area. Keith focuses on the construction needed to renovate the properties, while Evan focuses on the design. Kieth recently shared on his Instagram that the HGTV series Bargain Block would not be returning for another season. Now, after the show’s cancellation, new episodes are set to air. HGTV Series Bargain Block Set For Cancellation
Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas are the dynamic duo behind the hit HGTV series Bargain Block. The couple works together to purchase, renovate, and design houses in Detroit, Michigan. However, Bynum recently announced on his Instagram stories that the popular renovation show Bargain Block would not be renewed for a fifth season. In addition, he explained,
“[HGTV] did not renew the show for Season 5… They originally greenlit it, and I guess that was back in December. Then they decided in February, after we got everything ready for Season 5, that they weren’t gonna do it.”
Keith Bynum further explained to fans that the network’s decision to cancel Bargain Block has had a major financial impact on the team. In addition, Bynum stated that he and Evan Thomas have been in “A bit of a crazy financial tailspin,” he continued, “We’re doing client work and [have] got some other stuff going on… Oh, man. It’s been wild.” However, fans are now confused about the fate of the renovation show as HGTV is set to air new episodes of Bargain Block soon.
Shea Hicks-Whitfield Announced New Episodes Of Bargain Block
Earlier this week, Bargain Block realtor Shea Hicks-Whitfield announced that new episodes of the hit show were going to be released soon. Keith Bynum, one of the show’s hosts, announced in June that the HGTV series was canceled. However, Shea recently teased the release of new episodes on her Instagram on August 6th. She said:
“We’re 2 weeks away from an ALL NEW #BargainBlockWednesday y’all! I can’t wait for you guys to see what we’ve been up to.”
Fans were ecstatic to hear the news of new episodes. They said:

“So appreciative y’all have another season! Have missed you all!”

“Wait, what?? I thought it was canceled!!”

“For REAL???”

“Seriously!!?? I’m so excited that they realized what a stupid decision that was!!”
However, Keith Bynum was quick to answer fans in the comments. He responded, “lol they didn’t. We had already filmed these.” It appears that the new episodes that are set to air are the remainder of Season four. Keith further explained in a recent interview, saying,
“We do have a few more episodes coming out in August, actually, starting on Evan’s birthday (August 2), but they are the remainder of season four.”

Shame on HDTV for cancelling. Do they not have any idea what a great fun program this is. What the two guys achieve is amazing. This show appeals to a very big audience and should continue. Certainly do miss Keith, Evan and Shea Hicks-Whitfield with her family. Bring it Back HDTV.
I agree, Bargain Block is one of the best, if not the best, HGTV program. The talent, the concept of changing blocks from the worst houses to livable gems is amazing.
The show offers A plus creativity with lovable, fun people: Keith, Evan and Shea. They are our friends. Please do not cancel their uplifting show.
Just because these shows cost more to make… as if HDTV doesn’t make enough money. To pull the plug on a show that’s benefitting SO many families and the entire feel in Detroit. Shame on HDTV for making this all about the bottom line. It’s disgusting
