Jelly Roll Reveals Skin Removal Surgery Coming Amid Huge Weight Loss
When Jelly Roll broke into the mainstream in 2022, he weighed over 500 pounds. He started a weight loss journey in 2016, fueled by his desire to live long enough to see his children grow up and potentially have a child with his wife, Bunnie Xo. However, he gained the weight back. But the relapse didn’t deter him from his goal. Instead, it made him more determined to lose weight.
At a time when even skinny celebrities use Ozempic to lose weight, Jelly Roll is doing it the old-fashioned way. So far, he’s lost almost 200 pounds by changing his diet and regular exercise. He recently opened up about the need to have surgery after the major weight loss.
Jelly Roll Makes His In-Ring Debut At SummerSlam
Like many people in their 40s, Jelly Roll grew up watching WWF wrestling on TV and dreaming of competing in the ring. He will finally get his chance this weekend at the 2025 SummerSlam event.
Now known as WWE, the wrestling company often brings in celebrities to bolster ratings. Jelly Roll performed “Liar” at the 2024 SummerSlam. He also tangled in the ring by teaming up with The Miz and R-Truth against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
The singer returned to the WWE in July 2025. He made an appearance during a SmackDown episode, where he kicked off a feud with YouTube star Logan Paul. The feud comes to a head this weekend at SummerSlam.

Jelly Roll is teaming up with Randy Orton to face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre in a tag-team match. SummerSlam 2025 is a two-night event that airs exclusively on Peacock on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3.
He Reveals Skin Removal Surgery Coming Amid Huge Weight Loss
Ahead of his WWE match, Jelly Roll joined former WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon on the What’s Your Story? podcast. He opened up about his weight loss. He previously revealed that he has lost almost 200 pounds and is back to what he weighed when he was in middle school.
Jelly Roll revealed that he weighs himself once a month. He predicted that he’ll weigh under 300 pounds the night he walks into SummerSlam. He confirmed to Stephanie McMahon that his next goal is to appear on the cover of Men’s Health in 2026.
The singer also shared that he plans to go under the knife within the next two years. He revealed that he has to get skin removal surgery. Losing so much weight has left him with excess skin. But it’s not just a vanity thing.
“I’m gonna have to because it’s interfering with me and my daily functions. It’s not even an aesthetic thing,” Jelly Roll shared.
His Shocking Goal After Surgery
He didn’t reveal when exactly he plans to have skin removal surgery. However, he said he wants it done by 2027. Why? He shared a shocking new goal that not even his publicist knew about.

Jelly Roll even joked that his publicist would hate him after he revealed his next goal. He wants to appear on the cover of a magazine without his shirt on. But first, he needs to remove the excess skin.
