Ty Pennington Out At HGTV Amid Mass Cancellations?

Ty Pennington Out At HGTV?
Over the last few months, HGTV has axed several shows from its lineup. This has shaken many fans as they fear the worst for their favorite programs, and that makes sense. Viewers have an allegiance to certain hosts and find comfort in home renovation series. Moreover, some of the stories that are told can be heartwarming, heartbreaking, and inspiring all the same. Six fan favorites were axed from the network, including Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, Farmhouse Fixer, Izzy Does It, Christina on the Coast, and The Flipping El Moussas. This is huge given that Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack have been staples of HGTV.
With all of this happening, faithful viewers cannot help but wonder if Ty Pennington is safe. He was a fixture on Extreme Makeover and is now the host of Rock the Block. It has been on for six seasons, and with that being said, fans are worried for its future. However, Ty is clearing up any and all speculation. Initially, he had posted a video that led many to believe he was done with the network. Then, after all of the fear and concern, he returned to explain where he stands.

In his initial social media post, Ty Pennington was carrying a suitcase. Then, he took to his stories to confirm he was not leaving HGTV or his beloved series:
“To be clear, it’s just a photo- no hidden meaning and despite what you might have heard recently, I am still in fact with @hgtv and very much look forward to start filming again in September 🤗🎥 #stillkickin.”
Fans know that one of his shows, Battle on the Beach, was canned. This was a huge letdown for faithful viewers, so they clearly need reassurance that he would still be a presence. Regardless, his followers were still unhappy with how the network had treated him.
It’s Unfair
Despite Ty Pennington clearing the air about returning to HGTV, fans were still frustrated. They felt he was treated unfairly, and that the network could have done far better by him:
- I ,like many huge fans of HGTV, do not understand what they are doing cancelling all these great shows😭.
- Ty … I can’t put into words about HGTV … they took your show and replaced it with the same show…. you have a fan base for years…
Ultimately, Ty will be back, and it seems September is when Season 7 of Rock the Block will start filming. Regardless of what happens with Ty and the network down the road, he is likely to land on his feet because people love him.
