Steven McBee Jr Talks About Dad Not Being On Season 2 Yet
The fans of The McBee Dynasty have noticed that Steven McBee Sr hasn’t been on this season at all. He is dealing with a FBI investigation right now and fans wonder if that is why. Now, Steven McBee Jr is setting the record straight about what is going on.
Why Isn’t Steven McBee Sr Around This Season?
This season of The McBee Dynasty has a big change this season with it not being about dad and instead mom is on th show. This is a change that fans are embracing so far, but they do wonder where Steven Sr is at and what is going on.
Steven McBee Jr talked to People and shared the details about where his dad has been and why he isn’t on the show for Season 2. Here is what he had to say:
“Our dad, it’s no secret, he’s going through the FBI investigation. Just out of how delicate that situation is, it’s still ongoing and we’re hoping to have it wrapped up here before the end of the year, but just wanted to keep him out of any sort of public eye or anything, just until that situation is resolved. Just to protect him and protect our family.”
What Are Dad’s Charges And FBI Investigation?
The dad of these four boys is dealing with some legal issues right now. Back in 2024, Steven Sr. pleaded guilty to falsifying documents to receive unauthorized insurance benefits. This was in the tune of $4 million, so its not a small amount. He did plead guilty, so it is going to be interesting to see how it all turns out in the end.
He actually faces up to 30 years in prison without parole. His sentencing is supposed to happen in September of 2025. The show will be done airing Season 2 before he goes to court on these charges.
Fans did get to meet his new girlfriend this season, so they aren’t acting like dad doesn’t exist. He just hasn’t been seen on the show just yet. Not long ago, his son Steven Jr did say to keep watching this season to see if his dad shows up. He didn’t act like there was no way he would be appearing.
