The Beach Looks Different This Year
After over a year of anticipation, the Bachelor In Paradise Season 10 premiere is happening tonight, July 7. The show last aired in November 2023. Season 9 ended in multiple engagements and relationships, but none of them lasted very long.
The show was taken off the schedule for 2024 so it could come back bigger and better this year. One of the biggest changes is the addition of the contestants from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette. Hannah Brown joins the show as a sounding board to the younger contestants.
But longtime viewers may not recognize the beach. After years of filming in Mexico, Season 10 was filmed at a fancy resort in Costa Rica. The contestants have air-conditioned rooms and a private beach, among other accommodations.
Bachelor In Paradise Trailer Reveals ‘Compatibility Challenges’
After Bachelor In Paradise was put on pause, fans of the franchise suggested how to revive the spinoff. One of the most common suggestions was to take inspiration from Peacock’s hit dating show, Love Island USA.
It seems the head honchos at ABC listened. Several of the new changes to Bachelor In Paradise are similar to how the Peacock show works. A new trailer for BIP Season 10 reveals one major shakeup. The show added challenges to test the contestants’ compatibility, which increases the chances of finding a lasting romance.
In one of the first challenges, the contestants pick a “fun fact” that they agree with. A few of the fun facts shown in the trailer are “I love a hairy man,” and “My guilty pleasure is a late night trip to Waffle House.”

Another Unexpected Season 10 Twist
The purpose of the challenges is to find a match with someone who has the same interests as you. But according to Reality Steve, the challenges serve another purpose. His sources just revealed that for the first time, the winners of Bachelor In Paradise will receive a cash prize. The format is similar to Bachelor Pad, which ran on ABC for three seasons.
So, how much do the winners of Bachelor In Paradise get? Reality Steve’s sources said it was more than the Love Island payout, which is $100,000. The spoiler guru said he hasn’t heard who wins Season 10, but if he had to guess, he would guess Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley, who are rumored to be engaged after falling in love on the spinoff.
In previous seasons, Bachelor In Paradise contestants were paid per episode or whatever contract they worked out with ABC.
