‘Unexpected’ Fans Go Nuts After Myrka Cantu Shares Another Pregnancy Test
Myrka Cantu of Unexpected fame recently shared a video that caught fans off guard. The TLC personality and mother of three was taking a pregnancy test. Since then, fans have been sharing their reactions to the share.
The Unexpected Star Recently Shared The News Of Her Third Child
Myrka first appeared on the fourth season of Unexpected. This TLC series focuses on teenage couples who are expecting a baby and the impact it has on their families.
Myrka shares a daughter, Attalie, with her ex, Ethan Ybarra. Since then, she and her husband, Juan Castillo, have welcomed a daughter, Axelia, and a son, Alejandro Uriel.
Recently, fans grew concerned for Myrka after she shared a video of a pregnancy test on social media. At the time, she shared with fans the experience of “[taking] a pregnancy test [with] me, 21 yr old mom of 3.”
On social media, one fan shared a screenshot of the video, noting, “Mykra girl come on.” They continued, “The test was negative but girl you’re only 21 and you should be using protection. And you don’t need a 4th kid. Idk what she does for work or how she affords it so young.”
A Few Fans Felt They Couldn’t Handle Having So Many Kids At Such A Young Age, While Others Defended Myrka
Many fans shared their concerns about how much Myrka has been through a lot in her life during such a short time. One noted, “Within 5 years she went from living at her then bfs parents house, having her first kid, getting booted from their house, broke up with him, apparently found a new man, had a few kids with him and got married all before the age of 21….. let’s take bets on how long this one will last.”
That said, other fans came to her defense. One that claimed to be following her shared that they felt critics are taking things out of context. As they shared, “I follow her on TikTok and she honestly is doing good… she’s been supporting her family while her husband was in school full time but now he’s graduated and she’s a [stay at home mother] while he’s away for work.”

Other fans discussed the pregnancy test in the comments. Many shared their own experiences of having children. A few were also surprised by the pregnancy test since she just had a son. Some comments included:
- “Yeah to me it’s just sad when people don’t let their baby have some alone time and more attention as the baby in the family. Also with the more kids you have, the less time you have to spend with each one which isn’t ever fair to the kids.”
- “I am 38, have 2 kids under 10, and got exhausted just thinking about this scenario.”

- “I thought that she seemed like she had her head screwed on pretty well when I saw the show but I guess not. But then again she probably never had much hope with the type of mother she had.”
