‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Joins Cast Of Popular Soap Opera
As much as Whoopi Goldberg has her hands full with The View, she stays just as busy with her life outside of the popular talk show. Based on the latest updates making the rounds, Whoopi is surprising her fans with an all-new gig. So, what can fans of hers expect based on the latest tea?
Whoopi Goldberg Keeps Herself Busy On The View And More
The View fans have gotten used to Whoopi Goldberg moderating the discussion on the popular talk show. It has gotten to the point that, whenever Whoopi is missing from her seat and away from one of the broadcasts, watchers are quick to take notice.
As a backup, Joy Behar does the moderating whenever Whoopi Goldberg is away from The View set. Even though Joy does a fine job whenever Whoopi is away, the vast majority of The View watchers agree that things are just not the same when Whoopi is not there to steer the discussion, especially when it comes to hot topics on the show.
Goldberg Shocks With Unexpected New Gig
Based on the latest updates surrounding Whoopi Goldberg, she has been busy in Italy of late, where she accepted an award for her memoir. As fans of Whoopi and The View know, she has a busy life away from the talk show set. Whether it’s performing on Broadway, or, in this case, accepting an award in Italy, it’s not uncommon for her to hop a plane and fly off to some exotic location halfway around the world.
With Whoopi enjoying everything that Italy has to offer, she took to social media to announce that she has also joined the cast of an Italian soap opera called Un Posto Al Sole. In a short clip announcing that she is joining the cast of this soap, she acknowledged that this was a “crazy idea.” However, she also described it as a “wonderful thing to do.”
Whoopi Goldberg went on to say that even though her Italian isn’t perfect, they “worked it out.” It turns out, her character will be part of a “special storyline” that will result in her appearing in multiple episodes in 2026. So, Whoopi will be adding yet another acting credit to her already impressive body of work.

I’m a Ride or Die fan of yours, Whoopie! Followed you ever since your one woman comedic act playing multiple personalities. I was enamored, awed, & aroused(stimulated), cerebrally and visually, of the imbued magnetism from your performance. In other words you were beautiful far as I was concerned. I watched every movie or recorded play you were in, TV appearances & invites that I could. I hated & was angered by everything, that put you under negative lighting or tried to extinguish or dull you shining star! The bottom line is that I admire & Love you as your 💯% authentic natural self, Beautiful woman w Melanin ❤️ 🕊🙌🏽💐🙏🏾
