As shared by Parade, Jelly Roll is heading to late night. ABC recently announced that he will be one of various guest hosts on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as Kimmel himself takes a break.

Diego Luna will be the first guest host, starting on June 23. He will appear with a variety of guests, including Patton Oswalt, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Stone, Tiffany Haddish, Alan Tudyk, and Heidi Klum. Fans can also expect musical performances from NEZZA, Hermanos GutiƩrrez, and Good Charlotte.

In addition to Luna and DeFord, a few other guest hosts announced include Anthony Anderson, Nicole Byer, Alan Cumming, Chris Distefano, Fortune Feimster and Kumail Nanjiani. At this time, the dates for their hosting gigs have not been announced.

Fans Already Have A Good Clue On When They’ll See The Musician On Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The talk show also teased the upcoming lineup of guest hosts in a recent promo video. In the clip, Kimmel can be heard saying, “Goodbye, everybody! I’m outta here.” Jelly Roll could be heard saying, “This is a big deal!,” though this came from a previously filmed interview.

Despite the show’s name, Jimmy Kimmel Live! doesn’t currently film live on the air, being pre-recorded since around 2004. Thanks to this, fans might soon see promotional clips of upcoming shows with the American Idol “artist in residence” as a host.

While it’s currently unknown when Jelly Roll will host the show, he is currently on his “Beautifully Broken” tour. However, he has two large upcoming breaks, from July 2 to July 19 and from July 21 to August 15. After the second break, he will head off on the international leg of his tour, performing in Canada, Mexico, and throughout Europe. This means he will likely appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live at some point during these breaks.

In addition, the “Need a Favor” star actually has an important connection to the talk show. He made his national television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in June 2022.
