‘American Idol’ Judge Forgets Lyrics During Recent Show
The judges on American Idol help contestants get a chance to make their musical dreams come true. They’re masters of their craft, but they’re still only human. In fact, one such judge recently made headlines when they forgot the lyrics to one of their own songs during a recent concert.
One American Idol Judge Recently Hit The Stage In Orlando
American Idol fans have seen a number of famous judges on the show. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Katy Perry, Harry Connick Jr., Kieth Urban, and Jennifer Lopez, among others.
Usually, these judges have a prominent background in music, usually being popular singers themselves. They also know the troubles that can happen when working as a performer. In fact, one American Idol judge recently found themselves making headlines when they forgot the lyrics to one of their own songs during a recent concert.
Since 2018, Luke Bryan has been a judge on American Idol. Most recently he appeared on the show’s 23rd season, alongside Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood.
According to Massachusetts Live, Bryan recently performed a concert at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida on June 13. At the time, however, Bryan got into a bit of a hiccup while performing his 2015 song, “Strip It Down.”
Some Fans Took Note Of How Luke Bryan Recovered On Stage
A fan captured the moment on TikTok. At the time they shared, “Luke Bryan forgetting his own lyrics was definitely [the] highlight of my night.”
Bryan admitted, “I totally forgot all the words.” However, he quickly regained composure and remembered the words, sharing, “I got it,” before continuing the song.
Bryan is currently on his “Country Song Come On Tour.” Interestingly, this isn’t the first issue he’s had on stage as of late. As previously reported, Bryan also recently got into trouble during a show in Arkansas. At the time, he began losing his voice. While he carried on with the performance, he made it known to those in attendance he would be giving them a refund for the show.
With the recent clip, fans shared their own reactions to Bryan forgetting his lyrics on stage. A few fans admitted that they liked how “human” the moment made him. Some also took note of how quickly Bryan recovered on stage. A few comments included:
