Cancelation Rumors Swirling Following Season 7 Finale

One of the theories coming to light following the 1000-lb Sisters Season 7 finale as to why the show might not come back for Season 8 is because Tammy’s storyline has reached its end. While many viewers still want to see her live her life now that she is healthy and dropped all of the weight, some argue that this storyline has run its course.

Some have even suggested that the “bonus episode” that viewers got serves as something of a farewell. At the same time, you never quite know when it comes to a network like TLC. As a recent example, Little People Big World was only canceled after Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff decided to quit, and even then, the show ran for 25 seasons.

  • One recent commenter said, “TLC you better not take away 1000lb sisters. SERIOUSLY. You’ve made us watch 19 insufferable seasons of Sister Wives with Sobbin Robin and Man child husband. You even brought back 19 kids and counting after the abuse allegations…. We even had to listen to Anna’s submissive whisper voice with the reboot 🫠.”
  • A second commenter said, “Next season could be dedicated to helping Brittany succeed and Tammy spends time helping and coaching her… that would be amazing to see!!!”
  • Another person wrote, “I don’t think its over just yet, they haven’t fully milked Tammy’s skin removal and theres so much focus on Amy’s wedding.”

  1. It’s been great to see Tammy come into her own and blossom. She has proven herself to be the logical, realistic of the two but TLC may not want to do what they did with Sister Wives and milk this show to the point that viewers won’t tune into ANYthing they air because they’re soo sick of the overkill. The show is titled 1000 Pound Sisters not 1000 Pound Sisters plus brother and more sisters! The show has strayed from its roots by the entire family being allowed to jump the gravy train! They’ve benefited immensely but it’s affected the very premise of the show.
